Based on weather reports and possibility of flash flooding, the October 3rd meeting has been cancelled to be rescheduled at a later time. We will have a net call at 0730 this morning.

Our October meeting will be held on 10/03/2015 at 0900 at the Jackson County Recreation Center in Cullowhee. Our 1000 program will be Fox Hunting by David Bennett KK4HFR. Visitors are welcome.
September Meeting 09/12/2015 0900
The September meeting for JCARS has been moved from 09/05/2015 to 09/12/2015 at 0900 due to the Labor Day Weekend. It will be held at the Jackson County Recreation Center in Cullowhee. We wish you and yours a safe holiday weekend and look forward to seeing you there.

August Meeting
Our August meeting will be on Saturday, August 1st at 0900 at the Jackson County Rec. Center in Cullowhee. Program at 10:00 will be “Ham Radio Go-Boxes” presented by David, KK4HFR. This should be very interesting.
July meeting is on the 11th
Due to the 4th of July weekend falling on the first Saturday in July, our monthly meeting will be at 0900 on July 11th at the Jackson County Recreation Center in Cullowhee. Our monthly program will start at 1000. Mark your calendars. See you there… 73’s
June Meeting 6/06/2015
Our next meeting is scheduled for 6/06/2015 at the Jackson County Recreation Center in Cullowhee. Business meeting starts at 0900 and our monthly program starts at 10:00. If you are interested in ham radio or becoming a ham, please join us and enjoy the fellowship. At our last meeting the program was about wave forms and SWRs. After a brief introduction on the subject, we adjourned to the parking lot and use an antenna analyzer to check and adjust the SWRs on our mobile units.
Greening Up The Mountains
Stop by our JCARS booth at “Greening Up The Mountains” in Sylva, on Saturday April 25th, 2015, to learn how to become a HAM and be on the air easy and inexpensive.
Next Meeting May 2, 2015
Our May meeting is scheduled for May 2nd, at 0900, at the Jackson County Recreation Center in Cullowhee . The after business activity will be antenna analyzers and SWR checks/adjustments. This activity starts at 1000 and Jamie Clark will be our host. This will be a good opportunity to check out your mobile rig’s performance.
